Yes, today is the day!
All the best to Perak's Pakatan Rakyat!!!
Blocking of SUK entrance, police double-standard, MACC, state constitution, etc. ... All methods available had been used to block PR to advance, all because of a STATE RE-ELECTION.
HRH is a very wise man, I think He has seen this political hostile takeover failed, therefore He would reverse His decision to allow a state dissolution.
Daulat Tuanku!!!
:)
All these while, I grew up with a mindset of 'buat baik dibalas baik, buat jahat dibalas jahat'.
I always wonder what is so wrong with hudud laws, if it was meant to be good? Maybe I do not understand it from legal point of view. Perhaps the term Islamic State is very sensitive, but after 10 years PAS in Kelantan, I saw nothing is so scary like depicted by our federal leaders. It's natural, that a criminal must be punished heavily.
All these while, there were many pending cases being left in cold, some were not even tried at all; what good is our current constitution if Altantuya murders can roam freely in Parliement?
PAS being a religious political institution, should understand very well in their teachings, like any other religions, that it is no good to make a believer a believer by force. Besides, I never see any PAS friend of mine trying to ditch me just because I'm a Christian.
Religions maybe different to every one of us; but the devils inside are always the same. That's why we are still a human and THEY(some of our leaders) became devils wearing human masks.
Put your believes aside, start living as a Malaysian ...
Thank you Mr. Santiago, thank you Tengku Razaleigh....................
I am not a Perakian, but the recent waves of political takeover was felt by whole country. During the past one month, I have seen PR tried very hard to use the right decent ways to gain back control, and the sinister BN trying very hard to block their way.
They never denied it, but the whole world already knows they are afraid of losing (more) if Sultan granted a dissolution. I symphatized on HRH, as it was a hard decision he had to make. Nobody knows what's in his mind, though rumours suggested that BN made special arrangement for HRH, Sultan is senile, bla bla blaa... but I believe after one month of struggle, HRH will make a wise decision this time by granting a dissolution.
A lot of Malaysia has been manipulated thinking that Perak is a Chinese state controlled by DAP. But the real heroes of Perak are a Malay and Indian; both Nizar and Sivakumar has set a fine example of multi-racial Malaysians.
Nizar, I hope tomorrow HRH will give you a green light...
I read through Klang MP Charles Santiago articles on 'Equal Rights and Opportunities for All'.
Being a Melayu Himself, I am surprised that His Highness Raja Perlis had attacked Ketuanan Melayu policy which had been UMNO's propaganda to 'unite' Malays.
Perhaps at the moment some Malays busy uniting their own cronies Malays, an elite group of Malays had already waken up from dillemas, and willing to stand up on their feet to fight as gentlemen. I personally had seen Malays as such; young, energetic and professionals.
But I also knew alot of fallen Malays, who knows nothing but using NEPs to turn themselves into slave of $$$. They became arrogant, ego, disrespectful and despise on Chinese/Indians businessmen who were not so successful as them. Rich and powerful, but they are still 'katak di bawah tempurung' who thinks Malaysia is the whole world! They had forgotten that Malaysia once on par with Taiwan and South Korea during 1970s and today our beloved country is struggling with Asian third world countries like Myanmar and Indonesia!
After 50 years of dismal performance, I think it's about time for me to feel to be a real Malaysian again; a Malaysian as defined by both founding fathers of Malaysia, Tunku Abdul Rahman and Lee Kuan Yew. 308; indeed was the beginning...
8th March 2008, had marked a new chapter for every Malaysian.
I remember I stayed the whole night just to watch the outcome of the election result. It was amazing because every hour seems to give news of some BN hotshots lost to a no name PR candidates. I slept at 5am on 9th March; I was too excited that for the 1st time in 50 years, BN lost a 2/3 majority! For the 1st time in history, BN lost almost half of penisular's votes! I felt delighted that a new hope emerges.
One year after, I still had the same feeling. Although 31 BN MPs failed to jump over, although 916 was not realised, at least I had seen tremendous changes in all 5 PR states. In many occassions, PR has proven their coalition is truly Malaysian. We have seen a united multi-racial Malaysians in many of recent demonstrations; atmoshphere that we never had before during BN's glorious days (at least for the last 20 years).
Q4 of 2008 was indeed disaster to many of us. At one point I was supposed to be dull, worrying about the collapsing economy, I was infact very much a live due to our cinematic political scene. Thanks to Khir Toyo, DPM Najib Tun Razak and many of BN heroes added more spices into our lives, I have the courage to crawl out of turtle shell and be a farmer, who had planted a Tree of Democracy in cyberspace.
I hope March 2010, I can see whole new world... Amen...
This article in The Strait Times Singapore describes very well. I wonder how come Singaporean news agency can know better than our owns?
After 4 decades for 513 incident, Malaysian has grown matured. Especially the Chinese, Malaysians had learnt to respect each other's religions, cultures and languages. The 308 tsunami has proven my statement, with Malays voting for Chinese, Chinese voting for Indian, Indian voting for Malays.
RAKYAT wants a united Malaysia, but I think THEY refused. Recently, For example, Pakatan's Perak state government is seen to be pro Chinese. What is wrong to be a Chinese who fights for rights of every Malaysian?
